How to Win the Drug War
Despite our best efforts and billions of dollars we are making little progress with the war on drugs. We have built prisons and filled them with druggies, yet they just don’t get the message. You really can’t blame them; the drugs have clouded their judgment.
The Coast Guard and Border Patrol just don’t have the resources to stem the flow; they do their very best despite the handicaps. The police also lack the resources to really clean up the streets because of crafty lawyers and prohibitive legal restrictions.
Now that we’ve been attacked by terrorists many of the resources need by our brave drug warriors have been diverted to put a stop to that evil. On top of that the terrorists sell drugs to finance their evil deeds.
Well, it’s time to get serious now. We have the technology to solve this problem once and for all, along with some collateral issues. By combining several available technologies we can take a whole new effective direction for the drug war and make some real progress.
My name for the new device would be Uranalyzer. The device would be made up of two parts; the sensor and the reporting unit. The sensor would go into the business end of all toilets and urinals in the country. The sensor would be used to test for all drugs and identify lawbreakers with DNA testing.
We would have to pass a few new laws to enable the most effect use of the Uranalyzer. It should be easy enough to get some laws passed to circumvent legal restrictions now currently in place. Any efforts to mask or avoid detection could be used as mitigating circumstances to add to the sentence. We could prohibit urinating without a toilet, and we could use this new law against annoyances like the homeless. See what I mean about collateral bonuses.
With this technology we can detect the crime and convict the culprit usually before the perp is even done pissing. When the Dept of Uranalysis detects and convicts a drug criminal we have two choices. One, we have their DNA signature so we can pick them up at our convenience. Or we could electronically lock the bathroom door until the police arrive. This system will save billions on court costs and time; the criminals are already tried and convicted before the police even get there. A collateral use for this system would be DNA tracking; we can follow anyone anywhere, after all we all gotta piss all the time.
What to do with all the druggies rounded up? We could build factory prisons and use the miscreants to build and maintain even more Uranalyzers. We could rent them out to large agricultural concerns to do the work that the illegals do, and we could use druggie labor to build walls on the Mexican and Canadian borders. With all the legal restrictions put on our drug warriors by the courts and crafty lawyers this is a valuable and much needed tool that we can’t live without.
There is an extra added feature we could add, but it might be controversial. We already have instant detection and conviction, but what to do with all the perps swept up is a very messy situation. When we first start the National Uranalysis Program the numbers of criminals will overwhelm the system and all the lawyers and ACLU will clog the courts with protestations of innocence. I propose that we add a feature I call ‘Instant Justice”. Simply put, when the unit detects an illegal substance it sends a jolt of electricity right up the urine stream. Urine is very conductive and would work on both males and females. Repeated offenses would increase the voltage and duration progressively until the current reaches lethal level. Problem solved and no messy legal entanglements. I suggest we use Texas for beta testing of the instant justice option; they have few problems with their capital punishment program.
We can solve all drug problems with this off the shelf technology. If we work hard and write our legislators we can change a few laws and institute this desperately need system. Our drug warriors will thank us all for this valuable system.
Just imagine a truly drug free America, and with this system it could happen in just a few short years.

Islam a Peaceful Religion?
Everytime an act of terror is committed by Muslims we are told that the Islamic community does not endorse those crimes. All sides claim that the Koran justifies their actions, be they actual terrorists or the apologists that try to distance themselves PUBLICALLY. When a terrorist crime is committed by Muslims we see very little outrage in their communties. Yet they go ballistic over Danish cartoons or anyone else that dares criticize. People died at a demonstration against the Miss World beauty pageant in Nigeria because it 'offended' the local Muslim clerics. Everywhere Islam goes death and destruction follow....Indonesia, Phillipines, etc
We see the true nature of Islam in Iraq. All illusions of a peaceful religion evaporate when looking at the actions of the Iraqis since the overthrow of Saddam. One could make a justifiable argument that those Iraqis who are resisting the foreign invaders could be regarded as patriots, despite the media label of 'insurgent'. Which of you would not be an insurgent were your home country occupied by a foreign army?
The civil war between Shia and Sunni demonstrates the true evil nature of Islam. Everyday dozens of people are killed by suicide and car bombs on both sides. More Iraqis are killed by Iraqis than by all the infidel invaders combined. All over doctorinal differences going back hundreds of years.
They both read the same holy book and worship the same god, yet they slaughter each other with zeal.
They both have common enemies with the western alliance and Isreal, but they can't stop killing each other long enough to at least get them out. They could join forces for a military solution, or they could play along till everyone left....then resume killing each other.
Think of all the talented and hardworking people dying every day because of religion. The people who could rebuild Iraq are dying or leaving. That's the tragedy of random attacks on civilian targets.
Remove the iron hand of the absolute dictator in an Islamic theocracy and the different factions break out the guns. The Pandoras Box analogy never rang more true than today in Iraq.
There seems to be no shortage of eager volunteers for suicide missions, and very little outrage in mainstream Islamic communities.
Instead of humanitarian aid the other Islamic theocracies send weapons and manpower.
Am I a bigot because I see no peace in Islam? Other than the oil they sit on top of, what does Islam export to the world? All I see is death and destruction. Look at Lebanon to see Iraqs future, that is if Iraq even exists in the near future.
Christopher Hichens is right when he says religion poisons everything.

A Christian Dilemma
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalms (ch. XIV, v. 1)
Bob works, pays taxes, never breaks the law, and is raising a family. He helps his children with their homework and teaches them to respect the law and the rights of others. Bob performs his jury and civil duties without complaining or trying to dodge.
Bob is also an atheist
Bob minds his own business and respects the rights of his neighbors to do and believe whatever they want. Bob likes to watch sports and drink a little beer with his friends on the weekend. He is faithful to his wife and treats her like a queen. But Bob is an atheist and is condemned to an eternity of torture and misery for the crime of not believing.
People like Bob live in every community in the world. My protagonist in the following scenario is not some impossible fantasy, sure most people have a lot more flaws than Bob but his basic character is a lot more common than most people may know.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.--1 John 1:9
Tom’s parents were working people who had to work to make ends meet, they did their best to make sure he went to school and had the necessities of life. During his preteen years he had a lot of time on his hands while his parents were working. Tom and his friends starting getting in trouble and skipping school. Before long Tom is in and out of juvenile institutions. His parents did their best, but their jobs kept them away from home a lot.
By the time Tom is 21 he has no high school diploma and a long rap sheet. He is also a junkie who sells drugs and steals whatever he can to get more heroin. He bounces from friend to friend and relative to relative until he sucks them dry. He now lives on the street hustling and scamming whatever he can. He knows he can go to a charity for a meal and a bed every once in awhile.
His parents sent him to catechism when he was a child, where he learned all the dogma and ritual. He got confirmed, and then went to confession and communion until he started getting in trouble with his friends. But Tom always knew deep down in his mind that he could always go to confession and have all his sins absolved.
How many times have you heard this story? There are a lot more people like my antagonist than my protagonist. And either character is more than credible for the purposes of my hypothetical scenario.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.--John 3:17, 18
One night Bob stops by a convenience store on the way home from a late day at work. Tom shoots Bob dead when he walks into the store, nothing personal just Bob’s bad luck. Tom takes the cash after killing the cashier, but the police catch him alive on the way out.
Bob meets St Peter for judgment and is summarily condemned to hell for apostasy and failure to believe. No matter that Bob lead a productive life and was an asset to his community. No matter that he left children behind that needed his love and support. Bob did not believe, therefore Bob burns in hell forever.
Meanwhile, arrest, conviction and death sentence for Tom after the lengthy and expensive justice process takes its course. Tom has sobered up by the time he finds himself in a cell on Death Row and even feels remorse for what he’s done. A priest comes by one day and all the catechism lessons start to come to mind. Tom confesses his sins and does the ritual penance.
Tom is sincere and does not convert to try for commutation. He truly feels guilty and only wants divine forgiveness. On the way to the death chamber Tom makes his final confession and prays with the priest until strapped in and needle inserted. Tom begs the victims’ family for forgiveness and praises Jesus at the end.
Now Tom meets St Peter and is granted entry into heaven because he repented and confessed.
According to Christian dogma this scenario follows the guidelines of biblical instruction. The nonbeliever rots in hell for eternity, while his killer basks in luxury in heaven. The quotes provided clearly supports my deductions here.
This odious example of Christian mind think gives lie to their claims to the moral high ground. When confronted by this ethical dilemma Christians try to obfuscate and rationalize while thinking furiously of a way to get out of the dilemma. The usual cop out; god works in mysterious ways, we cannot know why. This major flaw to the claims of the love and peace of Christianity totally falsify any of those claims.
I want to hear a priest explain to Bob’s children why their father is burning in hell while his killer is partying in heaven.
Reply:
i'm no priest but i'll give it a shot. first, no one goes to heaven or hell when they die. that is not a biblical teaching. i don't have time or space to go into it right now, maybe i will in a post if anyone is interested.secondly, no one burns in hell forever. also not biblical, also more than a comment's worth of explaining.thirdly, the bible states that God looks at a man's heart, while humans can only look at the outside. the point being that none of us can say so-and-so is going to be saved or lost. if tom sincerely repents, he will be saved. things don't look too good for bob, but that is for God to decide, not man. maybe God will determine that bob never had the opportunity to develop his faith since he was surrounded by hypocritical christians his entire life.however, let's look at it this way (keeping in mind the lack of eternal torment):bob is an athiest. he doesn't want anything to do with God. when bob dies, he gets what he wants - he's dead, and apart from a few moments of final judgement (again, a seriously long topic), that's the way he will stay.basically, bob got what he wanted - a life without God. when that life ends, that's basically it.now tom (assuming he sincerely repented) committed himself completely to God and God will look upon that and wipe away tom's past. tom will get to live in heaven for eternity because of his faith.the problem with christians is that they have made up all manner of doctrine that really doesn't exist in the bible. i will probably get flamed for this, but catholics, in my opinion, have gotten so far off that i don't consider them christians at all. having said that, i don't believe that you will be lost if you are a catholic, only that the religion itself has non-biblical doctrines, some of them which directly contradict the basic tenets of biblical christianity.i could go on for pages about the current fallacies of popular christian doctrine but i find it tiresome (ask a christian to show you the verse where God changes the sabbath from saturday to sunday). however if anyone is really interested, i will go over it.
